The center is located in Curaçao, in the city of Otrobanda, between Aruba and Bonaire, in the southern Caribbean Sea. The Curaçao Dialysis Center (CDC) specializes in hemodialysis (HD) and offers modern treatments, such as high flux hemodiafiltration (HV HDF®) therapy. All treatments are performed with proprietary Fresenius Medical Care equipment and follow the company’s strict guidelines.
The CDC offers 28 dialysis stations and 2 private stations. Each station is equipped with a TV and free Wi-Fi, and the patients receive complimentary coffee, tea or juice, and a sandwich after each treatment. The center also offers treatments to patients on holiday, which makes Curaçao an attractive vacation destination for dialysis patients who want to enjoy this beautiful island.
For more information about the vacation registration process, please check out the Holiday Program section, below.
The CDC was founded in 2006, and Fresenius Medical Care, the world’s largest provider of dialysis products and services, acquired it in 2011. Since then, the center has worked to meet and maintain the Fresenius quality standards as well as local and global regulatory requirements.
The clinic’s goal is to provide our patients with a better quality of life, using advanced technologies to enable the best available treatments. The educational background, training, and continuous education of our healthcare professionals have a direct impact on the quality of care delivered to our patients.
Our qualified team is always willing to assist patients during their dialysis treatment. Patients receive personal care and attention in a calm and relaxed environment.
The global purpose of Fresenius Medical Care is creating a future worth living. For patients. Worldwide. Every day. And in the island of Curaçao, we fully embrace this vision and dedicate all our efforts to providing the best possible renal replacement therapy to our patients.
